Equistar Chemical Company introduced an extrudable adhesive layer resin. Optical clarity in co-extruded films containing EVOH cores, grade Plexar, Px3410, designed to bond different materials, including commonly used multilayer co-extruded materials such as PE, PP, PA, EvA, and EVOH . Tests on commercial blown film production lines show that the transparency of coextruded films containing EVOH and Plexar Px3410 is improved. Barrier films with excellent optical properties and transparency are indispensable in today's retail packaging. The resin has been approved by the US FDA for adhesives and has received limited direct contact with food.
