Urea-formaldehyde resin characteristics

Urea-formaldehyde resin is mainly used to prepare amino alkyd baking varnish with alkyd resin to improve the hardness and dryness of the paint film. It is combined with a non-drying alkyd resin to form an acid-cured amino lacquer for use as a wood furniture cover. However, weather resistance, water resistance, and gloss retention are slightly inferior. Epoxy and alkyd resins can be used to formulate primers and interior paints with different properties. 2. Urea-formaldehyde resin has a polar oxygen atom in its molecular structure, so it has good adhesion to the object surface. Can be used in primers, intermediate coatings to improve the bonding between the topcoats.

4. The paint film cured with urea-formaldehyde resin has good flexibility.

5. Urea-formaldehyde resin has higher viscosity, higher acid value and poor storage stability.
