Resin button production process

1. Resin buttons Raw materials: The raw materials for producing buttons are mainly unsaturated polyester resins, curing agents, and auxiliary materials.
(1) Unsaturated polyester resins require a viscosity of 10-20 Pa.s for the production of buttons, low heat release during curing, short gel times, easy coloration of the resin, and relatively slow hardness growth during the curing stage.
(2) The curing agent initiator is methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, and the accelerator is cobalt naphthalate.
(3) Auxiliary materials include color pastes, pearl powders, thixotropic agents, and the like. The pearl powder is hexagonal flake crystals of basic lead carbonate, which can be arranged in parallel during the molding process to show pearl luster. The thixotropic agent is active silica and is mainly used to prevent no color from permeating each other.
