There are many reasons for hydraulic shocks. Here we talk about the two most common ones:
1. The hydraulic shock caused by the sudden opening and closing of the valve, due to the inertia of the hydraulic oil and the compressibility of the oil, will cause the kinetic energy of the hydraulic oil to rapidly change into pressure energy. This dramatic change will generate pressure waves. It is called “water hammer”, but due to the viscosity of the hydraulic oil, this phenomenon will stop for a short time.
2. The hydraulic shock caused by the sudden start or sudden stop of the hydraulic pump station, because the equipment and hydraulic oil have inertia, the hydraulic shock generated by this situation is also very large.
There are three ways to suppress hydraulic shock:
1. Smoothly open and close the valve so that there is no excessive hydraulic shock. Or change the manual reversing valve to an electromagnetic reversing valve.
2. The hydraulic pump station should be preheated before starting. Do not use the maximum power from the beginning.
3. The safest way is to install an accumulator so that it can prevent damage to the hydraulic system even if it is hydraulically impacted.
