In collaboration with Ambicon, Bentoki Industrial Co., Ltd. has developed fluoroplastic fiber filters for use in municipal waste incinerator dust collectors, and it has been launched in volume. Due to the amorphous shape of the cross-section of the fiber, this type of fiber has fine branches and can form a dense layer on the base material even without the use of a binding agent, and can improve dust collection efficiency for fine particles of dust less than 1 micron. It is said that this type of filter media has been tested on garbage incinerators in 10 cities in Japan and has been evaluated. Some of these filters have been put into practical use and sales began in 2002. Ambica's previous filter material was only supplied to the general industrial sector, and the development of this fluororesin fiber filter was used as a dust collector for municipal waste incinerators, opening up channels for the government's publicly required filter media to provide a rare opportunity.
