Metal hoses are a high quality flexible pipe in modern industrial piping. It consists mainly of bellows, mesh sleeves and joints. Its inner tube is a thin-walled stainless steel corrugated tube with a spiral or ring shape, and the outer sleeve of the bellows is woven by stainless steel wire or steel strip according to certain parameters. The joints or flanges at the ends of the hose are matched to the fittings or flanges of the customer's piping.

Metal hoses can generally be divided into three lengths: the first is the compression length, which is the length when the hose is compressed to the limit position; the second is the installation length, which is halfway between the maximum displacements. The length of the hose; the third is the length of the stretch, the length at which the hose is stretched to its maximum limit. When installing the hose, the hose should be in the middle position, the so-called installation length. In this position, the hose can have two moving directions when subjected to axial load. Otherwise, if it can only move in one direction, it will affect the strength of the metal hose and reduce the service life. In the actual installation process, considering the use of the ruler to calculate the length of the hose and then install it may affect the production efficiency. Some foreign manufacturers install the ruler directly on the hose, and cut the ruler after installation.
